Two mobile water treatment pilot plants are available for testing sites where pilot equipment housing facilities are not available.  These 8.5-foot x 48-foot trailers are easily moved to the site for set-up and testing.  They can be leased on a short- or long-term basis.

One pilot plant includes a full water treatment train, including:

  • Ozonation
  • Chemical coagulation
  • Flocculation
  • Clarification
  • Filtration
  • Carbon adsorption with the capability to by-pass any process for maximum flexibility

The other pilot plant includes a high-pressure membrane treatment train that can be:

  • Adapted to either nanofiltration or reverse osmosis (RO) membranes
  • Used for testing membrane treatment for groundwater softening or desalting

Each trailer includes:

  • A laboratory area for general bench-top analyses
  • Equipment to store and process samples (refrigerator, incubator, etc.)
  • A desk and computer for the pilot plant operator
  • Safety equipment, such as an eyewash and emergency shower
