Mr. Tolaney has helped MWH evolve from a regional environmental engineering firm to a multi-faceted global company with several successful subsidiaries, offering services in construction (MWH Constructors, Inc.) and water and modeling software (MWH Soft).

Most recently, Mr. Tolaney was named 2003 Asian American Engineer of the Year by the Chinese Institute of Engineers/USA.

Mr. Tolaney has proven expertise in planning and designing water and wastewater facilities that are instrumental in protecting global public health. Over the years, he has provided design and engineering management expertise to chief executives and government leaders on projects in nations including Australia, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Jordan, New Zealand, Singapore, Thailand, United Kingdom and United States.

Among his many accomplishments, Mr. Tolaney served as Program Manager on the US $3.4 billion award-winning Wastewater Capital Improvement Program for the City of Los Angeles. He also has authored a number of technical papers and is an active member of several professional associations.

Mr. Tolaney prides himself in being active in community affairs. Currently, he is a member of the Board of Directors of the San Gabriel Valley Council (California), Boy Scouts of America, and the Methodist Hospital Foundation in Arcadia, California. He also served on the boards of WERF and the University of Kansas, School of Engineering.
