MWH Top in Water Rankings for 2010

Warrington, United Kingdom, March 31, 2010 - MWH, the global wet infrastructure sector leader and provider of environmental engineering, construction and strategic consulting services, has been named the "Top Firm in Water" by New Civil Engineer's annual Consultants File for 2010.  This is the ninth consecutive year MWH has topped the rankings.

MWH also moves up to fourth place in the "Top Firms in Waste" sector ranking following the organization's growth in the municipal solid waste market during 2009.  MWH has also entered the Power sector rankings for the first time in ninth position. This sector comprises work in generation, transmission and distribution, and energy management.

David Smith, Strategy Director for the Europe-Africa region of MWH, says, “I’m delighted that MWH has achieved the top position in Water, particularly as we now commence our new five-year AMP5 program in the U.K.  This success is real recognition of the excellent work carried out by our expert delivery staff in support of our clients.”

He continues, "Our position as top four service provider in the Waste sector and our entry in the Power sector is a great indication of the MWH organization's growing portfolio of projects.  It reinforces our focus on the Waste and Energy sectors as core business and also reflects the efforts of all the teams that have given us a strong platform upon which to continue to build a thriving business over the coming years."

Rankings are produced annually by New Civil Engineer, a leading civil engineering magazine in the United Kingdom.
